Full-Time Lobbyist
SCPMA's lobbyist is a full-time staff member with over twenty five years of State House experience. Our lobbying efforts are focused on those issues directly impacting the petroleum marketing industry. This full-time representation at the capitol gives you a clear and convincing voice in the future of our industry. Over the years, SCPMA has had a significant role in shaping public policy on many issues affecting our membership. Some of those issues include:
SUPERB Advisory Committee - In 1993, the General Assembly established the SUPERB Advisory Committee to study the implementation and administration of the SUPERB program. The law mandated that one member of the committee must be a representative of the South Carolina Petroleum Marketers Association. Having a place on this committee gives our membership a first-hand say in the direction of this critical program for the petroleum industry.
Congressional Delegation - Each year, the leadership team of SCPMA travels to Washington, D.C. to meet with the South Carolina Congressional Delegation. These meetings play an integral part in helping to shape federal policies that benefit our membership.
Publications
Annual Membership Directory - The SCPMA membership directory gives you the contact information for all SCPMA members. It also provides the tools you need to contact all 170 members of the South Carolina General Assembly, as well as our state's congressional delegation.
Fuel Facts - This email bulletin gives SCPMA members the latest industry news to help keep you in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Members can also take advantage of an exclusive member benefit by adding their company's website link to SCPMA's website. This link puts potential customers and clients just a click away from your products and services.
Advertising - As another exclusive member benefit, only SCPMA supplier members may advertise in the Fuel Line, annual directory and on the website. Suppliers are also invited to submit articles for publication in the Fuel Line, giving your customers the opportunity to learn more about your company.
Networking Opportunities
Annual Convention - Our annual convention, currently held with the North Carolina Petroleum and Convenience Marketers, is a great chance for marketers and suppliers to learn about new trends and products in the industry. This family affair is held at sought-after destinations and has become a "don't miss" event.
Management Institute - This event provides quality classroom instruction in a fun and enjoyable environment. Attendees have raved about the venue saying that it provides the best networking experience allowing suppliers to mingle with marketers in a relaxed setting.
PAC Golf Tournament - Our annual tournament gives our supplier members the opportunity to network with our marketer members in a relaxed setting. Recommended Services
Insurance Plans - With the rising cost of every line of insurance, SCPMA members can achieve significant discounts by using our recommended insurance provider, Federated Insurance. Federated knows the petroleum industry and can meet our members' needs for health and property and casualty products.
